Description

Mugwort is a perennial plant, widespread in Eurasia and the Middle East, which grows spontaneously on road sides, along fences, in shrub areas.

It is collected when it flowers and is dried in shadowed areas, in ventilated, dry spaces.

Use

Mugwort has numerous uses in human and veterinary medicine, in our country and in other countries: it is a stimulant of gastric secretions, anti-inflammatory for the gastric and intestinal mucous membranes and much more, anthelmintic, antidiarrheal, laxative, in gastric hypotony etc.

In dermatology, the aerial part of the plant is used, with the inflorescence, under the form of tincture, tea, thanks to the anti-inflammatory, antibacterial action.
